NORTHERN VIETNAM AND THE WORLD HERITAGE SITE HALONG BAY EXCURSION

Day 01: HANOI PACKAGE TOURS: Welcome to Hanoi.

Pick up Noi bai airport and transfer to hotel in Hanoi old quarter. Check-in hotel
Free time to explore Hanoi oldquater.

Day 02: HANOI PACKAGE HOLIDAY: Hanoi city classic tour full day (B/L/D)

AM: 8h00: Pick up from your hotel, start of the tour journey visit by coach trip along the Hanoi Old Quarter. After that we take you to visit Ho Chi Minh complex, including Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum - the final resting place of Vietnamese great father or uncle Ho, President Ho Chi Minh’s stilt house- where Ho lived on and off from 1958 to 1969, then visit Ho Chi Minh’s museum, Where tourists will learn what he has done for Viet Nam and some other countries and learn all kinds of information about President Ho Chi Minh. The next place to move to is One Pillar Pagoda - a group of structures consisting of a pagoda and a tower built in the middle of a square lake. Leave One Pillar Pagoda for the Hanoi Temple of Literature - the first university of Viet Nam and the place dedicating to Confucian. 

PM: After having lunch, drive to visit Tran Quoc Pagoda, Which is on the shore of West Lake. Quan Thanh Temple and the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology ( or Museum of history) - Where you can look at the cultural mosaic of 54 Vietnamese ethnic groups. The last place of city tour is Hoan Kiem Lake (Restored Sword Lake) with Ngoc SonTemple. Around 15h30, back to the hotel for a short break, shower before dinner and night train to Sapa.

18h00: Our tour guide will pick you up to go having dinner. Then, transfer you to Hanoi Railway Station for your night train about 21h00 to get on overnight train & beginning Sapa trekking tour.

Day 03: SAPA TREKKING TOUR: Lao cai - Sapa - Lao chai - Ta van Village (B/L/D)
5 hours trekking, 2 villages. (Overnight at Ta van village )

Picked up at Lao cai Station early in the morning by our bus. Arrive at Sapa round 08h00 have breakfast. The trip starts at 10h30 to get to Lao chai village. Enjoy the overall pictures of the villages among terraces. Visit the H'mong living in wooden and bamboo houses. Continue to Ta van village to visit the Dzay minority. Stay the night in Tavan village at a Dzay family. Picnic lunch on the way and dinner at the home-stay.

Day 04: SAPA VILLAGES TOURS: Ta Van - Giang Ta Chai (5 hours trekking, 2 villages. B/L/D)

Get up early in the morning to enjoy the daily lives of the ethnic minorities in the village. Have breakfast; take the road to Giang Ta Chai village of the Red Dzao minority via the paths between terraces and through bamboo forests. Picnic lunch on the way. Visit the silver waterfall and the suspension Rattan Bridge, visit the people in the village and then cross Muong Hoa valley up to the mountain to visit the last village of the trek – Su Pan village of the H'mong. Get back to Sapa by jeeps. On the way back, visit the ancient stone circle where stones are decorated with ancient carvings. Check in hotel.

Day 05: SAPA DAILY TOURS: Cat cat - Lao cai - Hanoi (Overnight on the train. B/L/D)

Have breakfast, visit village of the black H'mong (Cat cat), walk around to visit people in the village and the hydroelectric power station built by the French in the old days. Get back the town, have lunch and free to explore the town until take bus to get to Lao cai Station for your night train back to Hanoi.

Have dinner at the restaurant near to the Lao Cai train station before get on train.

Day 06: HALONG BAY CRUISE TOURS: Hanoi – Halong - Lan Ha (B/L/D)

Arrive in Hanoi around 05h00. Our tour guide and taxi will pick you up, transfer to the mini hotel for relaxation and breakfast before joining Halong package tour.
07h30 – 08h00: Pick up from hotel. Depart for Halong city through the countryside, farmlands and Red River delta.
10h15: Stopover on the way for a refreshment break
12h30: Arrive at Halong habour, check – in on the Halong bay cruise. Welcome drinks will be served.

13h00: Lunch is served while cruising through the Halong bay.
15h30: Visit Titop island for swimming or climb up to the top & enjoy Halong bay panorama views.
17h15: Back to the Legacy Legend Cruise, cruising to Lan Ha bay, do kayaking & swimming at the pristine lagoon. Enjoy the small party with fresh fruit and Vietnamese tea.

19h00: Dinner is served in the restaurant.
21h00: Leisure time to enjoy a chat around the bar, dancing, karaoke; watch movie or enjoy night fishing… Relax and spend a romantic night on board

Day 07: HALONG PACKAGE TOURS: Halong bay – Cat ba island (B/L/D)

08h00: After breakfast, visit Me Cung Cave - One of the most beautiful cave in Halong bay.

9.30: Check-out your cabin while cruising back to Habour.

11.00: Early lunch before arriving habour.

11.30: Transfer to Cat Ba island by ferry boat or speed boat from Tuan Chau habour.

12.15: Arrive Gia Luan Habour, transfer to Cat ba town by local bus, check in Hotel & relax.

In the afternoon, you have free time to discover Cat Ba Town or relax on the dreamy beaches.
19h00 PM: Have dinner (to enjoy taste of Vietnamese special seafood). Overnight in Hotel on Cat ba Island.

Day 08: CAT BA PACKAGE TOURS: Cat ba – Halong - Ha Noi (B/L)

After Breakfast & check-out hotel. Arround 9h00: transfer by shuttle bus to visit Cat ba national park. Where you will have short trek up to the top of Ngu Lam pick, from here you have chance to have full scenery and wonderful pictures of the Cat Ba National park.

Then driving you to Gia Luan Dock. Get on Ferry boat or speed boat back to Tuan Chau island. Lunch at the restaurant on land.

13h00: Depart to Ha Noi. Road trip back to Hanoi with stop-over in Hai Duong city center
16h30 – 17h00: Arrive in Ha Noi, check-in hotel again.

Day 09: NINH BINH PACKAGE TOURS: Hanoi – Ninh binh – Hoa lu – Tam Coc (B/L)

AM: Car and guide pick you up at your hotel at 08h00 – 08h30 - depart for Hoa Lu - Tam Coc & Enjoy Ninh Binh tour. On the way to Hoa Lu, you have good chances to view the landscapes along the road. Arrive in Ninh Binh province at 10.30, and then the guide takes you to visit Hoa Lu, the Ancient Royal capital of Viet Nam.

PM: Around 11h30 – Ride Bicycle to Tam coc. Have Lunch. After lunch, take small boats to visit Tam Coc, which is literally known “three Caves”, First Cave is the longest one which is considered a real rainbow in the water in the morning time stretching on both sides of the Ngo Dong River. The quiet movements of the oars create a sort of musical rhythm inside the cave. As the boat leave the cave, you can see what seems to be an old man with a white beard fishing, fairy flying in the clouds, peasants collecting fuel and a group of white goats grazing on the hills. After that the guide takes you to the Second cave and the Third cave.

Around 16h00: Back to Ha Noi. Arrive in Ha Noi around 18h30 – check-in hotel again.

Day 10: HANOI PACKAGE TOURS: Hanoi – Perfume Pagoda (B/L)

AM: 08h00 – 08h30: Pick you up at the hotel and take 2 hours road trip. Then you take row-boat trip to go to visit that land on the Yen stream "romantic time" about 1 hour to Thien Tru harbor. Then you will enjoy time to trekking go up and down visit the main cave so nice, step by step you will arrive Huong Tich cave on the top of the mountain. To see Golden-Silver tree, rice stuck....One hour down. Have lunch at Bottom Mountain in restaurant beside.

PM: After lunchtime, you will go to visit the Heaven Kitchen pagoda and to know about Buddhism ancient architectural at Le Dynasty. Then you will come back by row-boat trip and 2 hour road trip to Hanoi and arrive at about 18h30 – check – in hotel again.

Day 11: VIETNAM PACKAGE HOLIDAY: Airport transfer (B)

Private car will transfer you to the Noi bai airport. Your holiday with Vietnam Tonkin travel will be finished.

• Good weather for trekking time from September until June of the year. We recommend you to bring rain jacket, inner sleeping sheets, walking boots, warm clothes, lamp torch, and toilet papers.
