HANOI - PU LUONG - NINH BINH ECO & BIKING TOUR

DAY 1: Vietnam Eco & Biking tours: Hanoi – Pu Luong (L/ D) 200km

07:00 – 07:30: Vietnam Tonkin travel team will pick-up at Hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter to go to Pu Luong Nature Reserve by Private car.

09:00: Short break in Luong Son (Outside of Hanoi).

11:00: Visit local market of the Muong Ethnic Minority to learn about their daily life and customs; enjoy the beautiful scenery of Thung Khe Pass (One of the 10 most beautiful passes in Vietnam).

13:00: Arrive in Pu Luong Nature Reserve. Have lunch and check in.

14:30 – 17:30: Trek following the small roads through the terrace rice fields and cross the stream to visit remote rural villages of Black Thai Minorities to learn about the local people in Pu Luong.(6kms)

19:00: Dinner at the lodge, enjoy some local rice wine with the family. Have a quiet night in the middle of the Reserve.

DAY 2: Vietnam Biking & Eco tours: Pu Luong – Hieu Waterfall full day trek (B/ L/ D). (Hard Trek 14kms)

07:30 – 08:30: Have breakfast in the lodge. Enjoying the breathtaking view from the lodge.

09:00 – 12:30: Following the small road, trail through the terrace rice fields, jungle to visit Hieu Waterfall. Have lunch by the waterfall.

Afternoon: Free time to relax and swim in the waterfall or trekking to explore the surrounding village and jungle before check in the rustic homestay and you are welcome to help the family to prepare the dinner.

18:30: Dinner with the family and enjoy the rice wine and have a conversation with the local to learn more about their culture and customs. Enjoy the night in the middle of the Jungle.

DAY 3: Vietnam Eco & Biking tours: Easy Trek, Bamboo rafting on Cham Stream – Hanoi 200km (B/ L)

07:30 – 08:30: Have breakfast in the homestay. Say goodbye to the host and continue your trek through another paths of the Reserve to pick up the van to go to Cham stream.
10:30: Visit the Ba village and cross the hanging bridge to discover the giant waterwheels, and duck farm to learn about Local agriculture system.

11:30: Getting on the Bamboo Raft for a relaxing cruise on Cham stream.
12:30: Pick up the van to go back to the lodge for Lunch.

13:00: Have lunch and have free time to relax or walking around the village before returning Hanoi.
17:00: Soft break on the way.
19:30:  Arrive in Hanoi old quarter drop you off at your hotels, say goodbye & seeing you at the next time with Vietnam Tonkin travel team.

TRIP NOTE:

• Viet Nam is a developing country whose infrastructure may differ from what you expect in your homeland. Road conditions are poor and accommodation may be basic in mountain region.
• Good weather for trekking time from September until June of the year. We recommend you to bring rain jacket, inner sleeping sheets, walking boots, warm clothes, lamp torch, and toilet papers.
• Occasionally, this itinerary may be amended for reasons beyond our control such as weather and roads conditions.​

USEFUL INFORMATIONS:

Pu Luong Homestay:
In the middle of Pu Luong Nature Reserve, this homestay has a privileged situation. He offers a beautiful view on the valley and on some rice fields terraces. The local family managing the homestay is always willing to share time and culture with their hosts. The owner speaks english and also french.

The traditional stilt house is offering a cosy dormitory with mosquito net and comfortable mattress. You can opt for one of the 6 private rooms equiped with windows, fan and new mattresses. ( some rooms can welcome 3 guests).

Two modern  and well designed bathrooms are shared on the same floor of the rooms.4 new bungalows are also available with en-suite bathroom, fan  and a terrace with an amazing view to relax and enjoy the peacefulness of the area.
 
Hieu Homestay:
This homestay, deep in the Pu luong Nature Reserve, is rustic and authentic. You will be welcome as a member of the family and live a unique experience sharing culture and customs in this remote village.

Accomodation is basic but still offer a mosquito net for your convenience in a traditional stilt house. Hieu homestay is a place to discover the real local life and the beauty of the surrounding nature.
